MAYANUP CAMPDRAFT ASSOCIATION INC. The Mayanup Campdraft Association holds it's inaugural draft every year on the 2nd week in March. With over 200 competitors coming from as far as the Kimberley and Esperence regions. We are not the biggest draft in Western Australia and we don't try to be, however we do try to have the most fun with bush poets on the Friday evening and a band on the Saturday night. Held at Mayanup just outside Boyup Brook, you will see some of the best Australian Stock Horses, Quarter Horses and riders strut their stuff. What is Campdrafting? Campdrafting is a uniquely Australian Sport  involving horse and rider maneuvering a single steer or heifer around a course. They have 40 seconds to complete the course and are scored accordingly. Campdrafting is a family sport with ages ranging from 8 to 80. Great spectator facilities with grand stands under the shade of the trees. Entry is free and we have great camping facilities, bar and food throughout the weekend. Where are we located? The Mayanup recreation grounds are located 16k's South East of Boyup Brook on the Cranbrook Road. It is sign posted so you can miss it!
